Be enveloped by the natural Amazoneon jungle as
you prepare for the fantastic fly fishing on offer.
As you drift off to sleep, enjoy the feel and sounds
of the life that exists here in this pristine protected environment,
and anticipate the next days adventure.
The Agua Boa Amazon Lodge is the ultimate base to
fly fish for the various species of fish available in the Amazon
with clear water conditions and a protected natural environment.
There are many fish species on offer and 18 have
been landed on the fly so far. The fishing is catch and release
with single barbless hook flies and this particular location offers
everything a keen fly fisher could hope for in a world class fly
fishing destination.
The Agua Boa River is a clear water tributary of
the mighty Amazon with many lagoons off the main river offering
excellent fly fishing opportunities. The clear water ensures there
is always the opportunity to cast to sighted Peacock Bass and Arowana
as they cruise across shallower sandy bottom areas and the experience
of fishing this river will not disappoint.
This is remote fishing at its best and the management
strategy is long term. The staff is local and the fishery is protected
and supported through the fees visiting anglers pay.
Book now to confirm your spot and partake of the unique fishery
that is fly fishing on the Agua Boa River.
The most highly sought after fly fishing species
is the Peacock Bass, actually a species of Cichlid, and each season
fish over 20 pounds are landed with fish over 10 pounds being notable
captures. 4 of the 6 known species of Peacock
Bass have been landed on the Agua Boa.
